The 2019 Toyota Aygo didn’t receive the most exciting of facelifts, but it did get updated styling on the outside.
As revealed this spring when it premiered in Geneva, the city car has modified lighting units, revised color palette and new wheels. There’s also a revised instrument cluster inside, along with new upholstery, in most models. For these changes, the company is asking at least £9,695 ($13,005) OTR in the UK, for the base three-door model (£435 ($584) increase). Meanwhile, the entry-level 5-door costs £300 ($402) more.
Moving up from the ‘x’ spec means choosing the ‘x-play’. It starts from £11,375 ($15,259) and gets air-con, multi-function steering wheel, height adjustable driver’s seat, speed limiter, x-touch multimedia system with DAB and Bluetooth and LED taillights as standard. The sat-nav and Toyota Safety Sense are available as optional extras.

The ‘x-plore’ sits on 15-inch machined alloy wheels and adds front fog lamps, automatic headlights, rear privacy glass, reversing camera, automatic air-con and sat-nav. Optionally, it can be fitted with Toyota Safety Sense and power-retracting canvas. Pricing for this model starts at £12,630 ($16,943).
Paying at least £345 ($463) more unlocks the ‘x-cite’ version, with its Magenta Fizz dual-tone exterior, 15-inch black alloy wheels, and matching interior with Manhattan seat fabric, magenta stitching, and body-colored inserts for the air vents and gear knob. Also, the instrument panel and gear lever surrounds are finished in piano black.
Pricing for the top-of-the-line 2019 Toyota Aygo ‘x-clusiv’ has yet to be announced, but the automaker says that it gets a distinctive dual-tone color scheme with a choice of three different shades and 15-inch alloy wheels with a twin-spoke design. Inside, there’s leather upholstery, x-touch multimedia system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and automatic air conditioning. The keyless entry&go and Toyota Safety Sense are offered at no extra cost.
Finally, the Toyota Aygo ‘x-press’ starts from £12,630 ($16,943) and will be limited to 2,500 units this year. On the outside, it has a full roof decal and colored accents for the front and rear lips, side sills, plus 15-inch black alloy wheels. This grade also benefits from front fog lamps, automatic headlights, rear privacy glass and reversing camera. While air-con is standard too, customers will need to pay extra for Toyota Safety Sense.
