A Lamborghini Huracan and Ferrari 458 Italia have been damaged after the two collided in Vancouver’s Massey Tunnel late last week.
According to local police forces, the Huracan rear-ended the blue 458 Italia, causing damage to the Huracan’s front end and the Ferrari’s rear. Although the damage sustained by the two Italian supercars appears repairable, police said both vehicles could be written off.
Behind the wheels of the duo were young males in their 20s described as inexperienced by authorities with one only having a novice driving license.
After the incident, the Lamborghini driver was charged for following the car in front of him too closely.
Speaking with CTV News, police Sgt. Lorne Lecker ruled out speed as a factor in the crash but said “It’s very tempting to give into the urge. These cars have a great deal of power and it’s very easy to give into the impulse to try to use that power. And on these roads, it can be very dangerous.”
