Mercedes-Benz have released the first teaser of the new generation E-Class Coupe four days before its official reveal.
The Germans show, for a brief moment, the car’s interior layout, which benefits from the same tech as the saloon and estate, including the dual dashboard displays.
What sets it apart is a modified lower central console with turbine-style air vents, while the new E-Class Coupe drops the rear bench in favor of two individual seats.
It’s unknown at this point which engines will make their way into the lineup. However, we expect a mix of four- and six-cylinders, with the range-topper being powered by AMG’s 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 with as much as 612 PS (604 HP) and 850 Nm (627 lb-ft) of torque.
Its public debut is rumored to be set for the 2017 Detroit Auto Show in January, but this has yet to be confirmed.
