With well-established rivals such as the BMW 4-Series, Mercedes-Benz C-Class Coupe and even the Lexus RC in its segment, Audi’s all-new A5 Coupe can’t afford to be anything less than excellent.
Luckily for Audi, even the class leaders tend to have certain shortcomings, which is inevitable seen as how there’s no such thing as a perfect car.
According to Carwow’s review, the 2017 A5 Coupe is a bit of a mixed bag. On the plus side, there’s no denying its amazingly-finished cabin and ultra-modern on-board tech. On the other hand, it is nowhere near as fun to drive as its other two German rivals, not to mention that if you’d park the new A5 in your driveway, your neighbors might not even realize its the latest generation – but, then again, that’s Audi’s glacial design evolution for you.
In the end, the A5 is worth shortlisting if you’re in the market for a premium coupe. However, if it’s sporty driving you’re after, there are better alternatives out there.
