After the unveiling of the all-new Fiesta earlier in the week, reports have started flowing in.
One of them concerns the Active version, which features additional body cladding, increased ground clearance and roof bars for a crossover-like look.
The Active look has a pretty good chance of being introduced on other models made by Ford, as AutoExpress writes, citing the brand’s Vice President for Product Development, Joseph Bakaj.
“I think we’ll continue to look at this. The Fiesta is going to be step one, and we’re bringing it to the market next summer, so we’ll know more there“, Bakaj said, without naming any possible candidates for the jacked-up version.
Ford’s European boss Jim Farley commented that he doesn’t expect the Fiesta Active, which is one of four trim levels available for the new supermini, to steal any sales from the brand’s subcompact crossover, the EcoSport.
