Regardless of how heated of an argument you get into, turning your vehicle into a battering ram out of anger is a horrible idea.
That’s what happpened in a South Los Angeles mini market parking lot, where a fistfight escalated into a full-blown demolition derby.
According to NBC LA, it all started when the driver of one of the SUVs accused the other one of cutting her off in traffic and proceeded to hit her with her car.
One of the women, 33-year old Yaya Shabazz (owner of the white Toyota SUV) stated that it was after they pulled over to exchange insurance information that it all went horrible wrong as she ended up on the ground getting kicked and punched by the other woman.
“I was on the ground thinking, ‘Is this really happening? I’m being stomped by grown women right now,’ and it was devastation and heart breaking because we shouldn’t be doing each other like that,” stated Shabazz.
She also said that the assailant was armed with a hammer. “She hits the door, then she runs to the back and hits the window. But while it’s happening to me I’m not knowing it’s a hammer, I’m just hearing noise like a big shatter and I jump in my car and start to drive.”
While Shabazz did initiate the demolition derby with her car after getting assaulted, she stated that she only ran into the fire hydrant because she was scared and was trying to get away.
The LAPD said that both women are at risk of being charged with assault with a deadly weapon.
