Just a week after Opel/Vauxhall confirmed that it would be adding the Crossland X to its 2017 crossover family alongside the Mokka X, the company has announced that a third model will join them.

Dubbed the Grandland X, the company says it will “offer customers a raised seating position, good all-round visibility and plenty of luggage space”. Based on its name and the teaser image above, it seems apparent that the Grandland X will be the largest of the three.

Just like the Crossland X, the marque has confirmed that the Grandland X will reach the market in 2017 although few other details about it are known.

According to Vauxhall’s chairman of managing director, Rory Harvey, “We now have a compelling trio of new models for 2017 that are bang on target for a sector that has seen more growth recently than almost any other in the UK. The range now covers all bases, from an all-wheel-drive SUV to a choice of two highly practical and stylish crossovers, with different levels of space and equipment. Both the crossovers are incremental to Vauxhall’s existing range, so along with the new Insignia Grand Sport and its derivatives, 2017 is shaping up to be one of our busiest years ever for new product,” Harvey said.
