A Nissan GT-R built in Bahrain by Ekanno Racing has just set a new world record for the fastest quarter mile time ever recorded by Godzilla.
Back in January, the car set a record with a blistering 7.44 second pass and just a few days ago, managed to knock that time down to 7.168 seconds at 209 mph (336 km/h).
The car itself has been built by T1 Race Development and while continual engine developments make it difficult to pinpoint a horsepower rating, it is believed to be delivering over 2,200 hp to the wheels.
Not entirely satisfied with the vehicle’s current pace, Ekanno says that it is working on making the car even faster. Yep, 7.1 seconds just isn’t good enough.
As insane as it may sound, this GT-R could soon break into the 6-second barrier, a truly extraordinary feat if achieved.
