The Germans from Mercedes-AMG may have dropped the first official info and images of the new generation E63 Sedan, but they still have to lift the covers off the estate.
Scooped in motion more than once, the most potent member of the latest Mercedes-Benz E-Class Estate is previewed in a new rendering posted by X-Tomi.
The car carries a beefed up body kit, which improves not just looks but aerodynamics, too, a slightly lowered ride height and AMG-specific rims.
Taking it from rest to sixty miles per hour (96 km/h) in less than 4 seconds will be the 4.0-liter, twin-turbo V8 used on a variety of Mercedes-AMG models, including the four-door E63, where it’s offered in two outputs – 563 HP (571 PS) and 553 lb-ft (750 Nm) of torque, and 604 HP (612 PS) and 627 lb-ft (850 Nm) of torque. Power is channeled in both cases to the 4Matic all-wheel drive system through a 9-speed automatic gearbox.
The launch of the estate variant of the E63 is expected to occur in 2017.
