A race-winning 2004 Saleen S7R GT1 has hit the used car market at a reasonable (for what it is) $725,000, thanks to James Edition.

The car in question, initially fielded by ACEMCO Motorsports, raced in the American Le Mans Series where it finished third in the championship. It later went on to compete in the FIA GT Championship in 2009 where it claimed two race victories while competing against the ever-impressive Maserati MC12 GT1.

The car has since been retired from competitive racing but did compete in the 2015 Daytona Classic and is one of just 14 units produced.

As with the road car, the S7R uses a massive 7.0-liter V8 engine but one which has been made bespoke thanks to ELAN and in unrestricted form, pumps out 730 hp.

Numerous aerodynamic changes then differentiate the S7R from the road cars, most notably the custom front bumper and splitter, roof scoop and unique rear wing.

The car is currently located in Luxembourg and while $725,000 is a lot of money, for a vehicle as fast as this one and with multiple wins under its belt, it’s certainly not excessive.
