The dawn of the naturally aspirated supercar already came and went, with most manufacturers now only considering turbocharged engines for their top of the line machines.

It wasn’t that long ago that just about any Ferrari purist would scoff at the thought of a turbocharged stallion and yet, naturally aspirated models are starting to dwindle even in Maranello.

Porsche, on the other hand, rarely had this issue, especially when it came to the 911 Turbo, which was by definition turbocharged and yet described by many as one of the world’s best driving machines throughout its history.

Now, even though getting these two cars together should mean racing them to see which is quicker, a good old fashioned exhaust battle never hurt anybody, especially when we’re genuinely curious to see what type of flavor Ferrari’s turbocharged 3.9-liter V8 has when compared to Porsche’s 3.8-liter flat six.

The video provides multiple angles and noise intensities, from start-ups to hard revs, acceleration and even a few POV driving shots from which you can deduct which driver might have a better experience as far as the car’s soundtrack is concerned.

After you’re done watching, let us know which of these evenly-matched supercars you would rather listen to in person.
