While somewhat different than most ‘Gold Digger’ pranks, what this particular video goes to show is that in reality, most people aren’t all that unwary.
Also, we’re pretty sure that the real Lewis Hamilton would have a lot less trouble getting people to listen to his new song or getting in his car than the Meet The Vloggers YouTube channel would have us think.
The impersonator does do an OK job as “fake Lewis”, but anybody who’s a fan of the reigning F1 champ would probably know this guy wasn’t Lewis as soon as they they saw him.
He also fails to make a good first impression on a girl that was jogging through the park (he gets the number eventually), and another one that was just sitting on a park bench.
Oh, and of course you can make an argument that he should have used a Mercedes-Benz rather than a Lamborghini, but that would be a little too technical since most people didn’t even seem to know who he was, let alone what sort of automaker he works for. Besides, it’s not like a Lamborghini isn’t going to attract all the attention you’re looking for, right?
Maybe a Zonda would have worked better though.
