On display at BMW‘s Abu Dhabi showroom is this Melbourne Red 435i Convertible, which just so happens to be wearing a carbon fiber-heavy M Performance kit as well as an Akrapovic Evolution exhaust system.
It’s still about a second slower to 100 km/h (62 mph) than the M4 Cabrio, but then again, it has “just” 306 PS and 400 Nm (295 lb-ft) of torque, which help it hit the previously mentioned mark in precisely 5.5 seconds.
The M Performance kit includes the sleek carbon fiber mirror caps, black kidney grille and the Alcantara-covered sporty steering wheel – a similar configuration to this 435i Coupe we saw last year.
As for the Akrapovic Evolution exhaust system, it sounds perfectly peaceful in normal driving conditions as long as the revs are low, though it will switch to a deeper, more aggressive note as soon as your right foot gets heavier.
