The chief executive officers of Nissan and Ford are set to deliver speeches at January’s CES technology show in Las Vegas.
During the event’s opening day on January 5, Nissan CEO Carlos Ghosn will provide the keynote speak during what will be the marque’s first appearance at the show. The following day, Ford CEO Mark Fields will issue a speech during the ‘Leaders in Technology’ dinner.
Last year, the chief executive of General Motors, Mary Barra, provided the event’s keynote speech and used the opportunity to reveal the Chevrolet Bolt.
If Ghosn follows a similar path, he could also make a significant announcement regarding the future of Nissan. Perhaps it will be related to the Renault-Nissan Alliance’s impending deal with Mitsubishi?
Alternatively, Nissan may use the opportunity to reveal a new vehicle, potentially including some form of electrification and self-driving technology.
Whatever the case, this year’s CES is bound to prove the most important for the automotive industry in recent years, particularly since more and more car makers have announced their electric vehicle plans during 2016.
