While most consumers prefer a subtle upgrade for their prized jewels, other don’t like to go by unnoticed, and Lumma Design’s upgrade for the BMW X6 M is aimed at the latter.

The first thing noticeable about the tuner’s latest creation is the striking shade of neon yellow paint, followed by the exclusive body kit that adds certain carbon fiber accents and a total of 40 mm (1.57 in) to the overall width, mostly through the wide wheel arches.

Other elements present on the powerful SAV include the new bonnet, custom diffuser at the other end, four centrally mounted exhaust pipes, rear lip spoiler, roof spoiler and a set of large 22-inch custom wheels. A similar pattern is continued once we open the door, as the striking accents can be seen on just about every surface.

This particular upgrade package, named Lumma CLR X6 R, is not just about show and tell, as the tuner has massaged the 4.4-liter twin-turbo V8 lump in order to squeeze an additional 175 horsepower and 230 Nm (170 lb-ft) of torque. This means that the engine is now capable of producing 750 HP and 980 Nm (723 lb-ft) of torque, and while Lumma may not provide a 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) sprint time, it will gladly remove the speed limiter, allowing the X6 M to reach speeds beyond 300 km/h (186 mph).
