Customer deliveries of the McLaren MSO HS have just commenced and one of the first examples recently hit the streets of Britain.
Filmed up close by Seen Through Glass, this MSO HS was commissioned by a McLaren customer who previously owned an MSO 650S. The HS takes things to entirely new heights as it’s based around the hardcore 675LT and is even more powerful, lighter and adorned in a selection of new aerodynamic elements.
Perhaps the most obvious aero and styling tweak of the MSO HS is its utilization of a fixed rear wing rather than the retractable airbrake of the 675LT. Interestingly, this new wing still has the same functionality as the LT’s and under braking, tilts upwards and makes the car look even more incredible.
Other distinctive elements found on the MSO HS include its carbon fiber canards up front, the tweaked side skirts, new wheels, front quarter panel louvres, a massive roof scoop and a modified rear diffuser.
Compared to the 675LT, the MSO HS weighs 40 kg (88 lbs) less. Thanks to the modified twin-turbocharged 3.8-liter V8, it is also 13 hp more potent, now delivering 688 PS (678 hp).
A mere 25 units are destined for production and as one might expect, they’re all sold out.
