Those of you who remember the glory days of the E92 BMW 335i, may also remember how drivers raved about its excellent performance.

The 335i was only 0.6 seconds slower to 100 km/h (62 mph) than the E92 M3, while its (underrated) 306 PS (302 HP) and 400 Nm (295 lb-ft) of torque inline-six turbo provided enough power to get by in just about any situation.

In a straight line, the 335i would hit the 100 km/h mark in 5.5 seconds when stock, but of course, that wouldn’t be nearly quick enough to match the 991 GT3 RS, which can do it in a blistering 3.3 seconds, before maxing out at 310 km/h (192 mph).

Then again, the Porsche does have 500 PS and 460 Nm (339 lb-ft) of torque and the Bimmer does not.

Well, all those numbers can pretty much fly out the window in this particular case because here we have a heavily tuned 335i, which according to its owner, puts down anywhere between 600 PS and 620 PS at the crank.

The downside is that the BMW is heavier and it certainly won’t shift gears as quickly as the GT3 RS does with its PDK transmission, but we’re still talking about a serious power upgrade, the likes of which could prove “fatal” to the Porsche in a straight line.
