The new 90-series is now complete with the addition of the V90 Cross Country – but what if Volvo somehow decided to offer an S90 Cross Country, too?
This rendering, posted by X-Tomi is the answer. It takes the rugged estate’s visual tweaks and adds them to the four-door model, helping it stand out with a generous ride height, plastic body cladding all around and new rims.
This is where mods would stop, because the all-terrain capable estate features the exact same interior equipment as the standard model and, even if no details have been released yet on the engine lineup, it will borrow (some, if not all) the petrol and diesel units of the regular V90.
While the V90 Cross Country has the all-new Mercedes-Benz E-Class All Terrain to battle, as well as the Audi A6 Allroad, the S90 would be the first in that niche, since neither Mercedes, Audi or BMW have similar versions of the E-Class, A6 or 5-Series.
