Audi has dropped a couple of fresh teasers with the next generation Q5, which will celebrate its premiere next Thursday, during the 2016 Paris Auto Show.
The first footage focuses on practicality and it shows the SUV’s boot being loaded with all sorts of luggage, while the second one previews the LED headlight technology, whose design seems to have been inspired by the one of the latest generations A4 and Q7.
Since it’s closely related to the new compact sedan/estate, the 2017 Audi Q5 will be the first of its kind to come with front-wheel drive, on lesser models, while better equipped versions will benefit from the brand’s Quattro all-wheel drive. Word on the street has it that by using the latest evolution of the MLB platform, it will drop more than 100 kg (220 lbs) compared to the current generation.
Whether an RS Q5 will be part of the family, it remains to be seen, but an SQ5 is expected to join the usual range that will be made out of four-cylinder and V6 petrol and diesel engines, and chances are a plug-in hybrid option will be offered as well.
