Nissan announced pricing for the 2017 Altima, which just arrived at dealers across the U.S.
Starting from $23,335 MSRP (including destination and handling fees), the 2017 Nissan Altima is available in a choice of seven trim levels – 2.5, 2.5 S, 2.5 SR, 2.5 SV, 2.5 SL, 3.5 SR and 3.5 SL, with the sporty SR model accounting already for over 30 per cent of total sales.
The engine range remains unchanged, utilizing a 182hp 2.5-litre four-cylinder and a 270hp 3.5-litre V6. Both engines are attached to a CVT transmission which Nissan calls Xtronic.
Nissan reckons that models equipped with the 2.5-litre engine can return a class-leading 39mpg on the highway. Other highlights include a long list of active safety systems like Predictive Forward Collision Warning, radar-based Blind Spot Warning, Intelligent Cruise Control and Rear Cross Traffic Alert.
All trim levels except the entry-level 2.5 get an infotainment system with a seven-inch display and NissanConnectSM with Navigation and Mobile Apps and NissanConnect Services. The 2017 Altima SR starts from $25,305 MSRP (including destination and handling fees) with the 2.5-litre engine, while the same trim level with the 3.5-litre V6 asks for $28,825.
