Since unveiling their luxurious Vision 6 Concept at Pebble Beach, the only thing missing from Mercedes-Maybach’s bag of tricks is something we could easily call the world’s longest convertible.
Measuring almost 6 meters in length (5.7 m to be precise, or 18.7 feet), the Vision 6 study looks like an instant modern-day classic, a car that’s as sleek and elegant as it is powerful.
Four permanent magnet synchronous electric motors work alongside an 80 kWh battery pack, putting out around 750 HP, with Mercedes claiming it will hit 100 km/h (62 mph) in less than four seconds
Now, to some people, as great as any particular coupe may be, making it into a convertible is always the next logical step. Lucky for us, X-Tomi did just that, while also making the Vision 6 green – and we’re talking all-green, even those IAA Concept-inspired 24″ wheels.
Of course, this would mean giving up on the original car’s Gullwing doors in favor of either a Coach-like or even a classic design, but regardless of where and how they place those hinges, the fact is we’d still be looking at the world’s most imposing luxury convertible.
Currently, you could argue that title belongs to the Rolls-Royce Dawn.
