If you want your supercar to be both practical as well as incredibly quick off the line, the 911 Turbo and the F-Type SVR make for pretty obvious choices.
The Jag is the newcomer here, but with 575 PS and 700 Nm (516 lb-ft) on tap, it should in theory be able to keep up with the speedy 911 Turbo. The Porsche, on the other hand, is rated at 540 PS and 710 Nm (523 lb-ft) of torque, which means that it’s a little down on power but it also happens to weigh slightly less – by approximately 35 kg (77 lbs). So as you can see, it’s looking like a very well-balanced fight.
Furthermore, both supercars come with all-wheel drive, similar top speeds and similar price tags – at least in the UK, where this drag race took place). The 911 Turbo starts off from £126,925, while the F-Type SVR is £110,000. Add a few extras and you’re even-steven.
A fair fight then. Well, actually… Better see for yourselves.
