Vision Mercedes-Maybach 6 is the German car company’s latest luxurious study, and it’s scheduled to debut at the Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance later this month.
Mercedes released another teaser with its ultimate coupe on social media, revealing further details about the 6-meter long car. As it turns out, its cabin is secluded by two gullwing doors, while some of the design cues, like the wide and voluptuous quarter panels, are reminiscent of the Vision Gran Turismo concept.
Like the Excelero, its shape is reminiscent of the 1939 Maybach SW 38 Stromlinie – an aerodynamically designed car capable of performing high-speed tests at over 200 km/h over longer periods of time.
It’s unknown whether the model offers a glimpse of Mercedes-Maybach’s future products, as its graceful and elegant silhouette seems sketched for maximum presence and awe more than anything else, especially as it measures nearly 50 centimeters less than the gargantuan S600 Pullman.
Various reports say that the Vision Mercedes-Maybach 6 is only going to exhibit Maybach’s expertise and abilities in bespoke coachbuilding, as Mercedes is looking to create its own distinctive customizing program.
