Making transition from this year’s Geneva event to the public roads of the French capital, the DS E-Tense Concept is obviously more than the average show and tell car.
We are only speculating here, but at this point, PSA could be looking into a limited-production version of the study or it could be just simply testing a new powertrain, fresh technology or one of the two electric platforms unveiled earlier this year, which will underpin four new electric vehicles and seven plug-in hybrids by 2021.
Whatever the case may be, the future definitely looks bright for the DS brand, which could soon have an exotic model in its lineup. If you’ve somehow missed the original story, then we will remind you that the DS E-Tense Concept tips the scales at 1,800 kg (3,968 lbs) and uses two electric motors to go around, rated at a respectable 402 HP and 516 Nm (381 lb-ft) of torque. Its electric heart, which takes energy from a lithium-ion battery pack that allows for a total range of up to 360 km (224 miles), propels the study from naught to 100 km/h (62 mph) in just 4.5 seconds and up to a top speed of 250 km/h (155 mph).
