What’s the point in stepping out of your private jet and into a more cramped limousine?
That’s what the world’s rich and famous are asking themselves with increased frequency, and the answer they arrived at is often a luxuriously appointed Mercedes van, like this latest from Larte Design.
There’s any number of customizers that will outfit a van’s interior to the customer’s specifications – Larte among them – with features like leather recliners, fold-out tables, and the latest audio-visual and telecommunications equipment. But here the German outfit has focused its attention here on modifying the exterior of the Mercedes-Benz V-Class van (known as the Metris in America) to match.
Bearing the name Black Crystal, Larte’s design package includes new front and rear bumpers (crafted from composites and decorated with carbon fiber) along with LED daytime running lights, and even a pair of black Swarovski crystals embedded in the nose.
These photos were shot together with Italian fashion label Uomo Collezioni at Moscow’s Domodedovo airport. Check ’em out and imagine what life would look like if that were you stepping off a private jet and into a custom Mercedes van.
