Lincoln has put together three new commercials as part of their new ‘It’s like that’ campaign featuring Matthey McConaughey and the 2017 MKZ.
Since it arrived in showrooms three years ago, the MKZ has been the brand’s best-selling model. With that in mind, the campaign is aimed at keeping the focus on the car’s premium qualities by displaying a stylish tone which “conveys exhilaration.”
McConaughey worked together with director J.C Chandor on the ads – set to air on TV and digital platforms in the US & Canada starting with May 16.
The first video is called ‘Shave’ and shows the Hollywood star relaxing in a barber’s chair, receiving a professional, straight razor shave. The 2017 MKZ cuts through the fog just as the barber is about to bring McConaughey a steaming hot towel, thus resulting in the ‘It’s like that’ moment that’s being promoted.
As for the other two spots are called ‘Midnight’ and ‘Ensemble’ and just like with the first one, they create a connection between a moment of exhilaration felt by the character and his memories of driving the car.
The 2017 Lincoln MKZ is priced from $35,010 in the US and is available with three different engine configurations and either front or all wheel drive.
