Art comes in all forms, especially in the motoring world, as Aston Martin’s craftsmen demonstrate.
Yes, some of the Gaydon-based company’s offerings could very well be considered works of art, due to their detailed craftsmanship, attention to detail, and bewildering looks, but this particular footage reveals how Aston Martin’s artistry can be taken beyond car building.
In a showcase of their abilities, Aston’s artisans created representation of the Vanquish from small pieces of left over leather, of various hues, laid on a canvas. The creation process took place in the car manufacturer’s VIP atrium, and the end result might have saved some of the really expensive material from being scrapped; talk about recycling at its finest.
It’s unknown what Aston Martin will do with the artwork, but we think it will go nicely in a big garage next to the actual 565hp 6.0-litre V12 grand tourer (probably the Valentino variant) – which will soon be replaced with a newer model.
