Datsun has presented its third vehicle in the Indian market, the new Redi-Go which it describes as an “urban crossover”.
Underpinned by the Common Module Family (CMF-A) platform from the Renault-Nissan Alliance shared with the Renault Kwid, the Red-Go is the production version of Datsun’s 2014 concept of the same name sporting a 185mm ground clearance.
“In a sea of look-a-like hatchbacks, the Datsun redi-GO’s modern and distinctive looks help it stand out from the crowd. Its design reflects the sense of individuality of the people who’ll buy the car: confident go-getters who know where they want to be in life“, said the Global Head of Datsun, Vincent Cobee.
Powering the Red-go is a 0.8-liter three-cylinder engine, which should produce the same 53hp it does on the Kwid, paired to a five-speed manual transmission.
