If you’re looking for reasons why the Holden Spark has earned the highest safety rating available in Australia, look no further than its high-strength steel safety cage and its active safety systems.
Driver assistance controls such as ESC (Electronic Stability Control), TC (Traction Control) and ABS, plus the front, side and curtain airbags, the rear view camera with park assist (available on the higher spec LT model) all add to the Spark’s score when it comes to ANCAP’s tests.
However, what’s really impressive is the Spark’s high-strength steel safety cage that is capable of supporting a roof-load force 3.92 times that of its own weight (just under 3.9 tonnes).
“Safety has always been Holden’s first priority, and Spark is no exception thanks to a variety of features and vehicle attributes,” said company exec Ian Butler. “In terms of active safety, Spark comes with ESC, TC and ABS as standard across the range and all of which were tuned by Holden engineers at our Proving Ground in Lang Lang.”
The 5-star ANCAP rated Holden Spark is currently on sale at Aussie dealers nationwide.
