Former Top Gear Stig has left his white tracksuit and helmet aside and after appearing in Fifth Gear’s Series 18, he is now testing cars for Goodwood.

The first review signed by the racing driver was behind the wheel of a McLaren 570s, last week, while the second one is focused around the more docile and cheaper BMW M2 Coupe.

Introduced last fall, the range-topping version of the 2-Series Coupe reminded enthusiasts of the original M3 E30, with its compact size and two-door body style. At its heart, it carries a 3.0-liter twin-scroll inline-six engine, churning out 370 PS (365 HP) and 465 Nm (343 lb-ft) of torque, which sends power to the rear wheels through either a standard 6-speed manual gearbox or an optional 7-speed dual-clutch automatic.

Sprinting from 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) takes 4.5 seconds with the manual transmission and 4.3 seconds with the automatic, while top speed is electronically limited to 250 km/h (155 mph), in both cases. Tipping the scales at 1,565 kg (3,450 lbs) with the DCT and 25 kg (55 lbs) more with the manual, the M2 coupe has managed to go around the Green Hell in just 7 minutes and 58 seconds, which makes it 6 seconds slower than its larger sibling, the M4 Coupe.

Does this really matter? Collins is certainly qualified to answer that one, so let’s see what he has to say.
