In a vacuum, a McLaren 675LT should be a pretty formidable car to go up against, both on a track as well as on an airstrip.
In this case however, the Lamborghini Huracan, which would otherwise be at a disadvantage, is supercharged and is packing a whooping 816 PS against the McLaren’s 675 PS – making this drag race both fun as well as unfair, on paper.
The McLaren 675LT also happens to be good for 700 Nm (516 lb-ft) of torque, helping it get from 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) in just 2.9 seconds before maxing out at 330 km/h (205 mph). The Huracan, on the other hand, is slower in every capacity when stock. Not by much, but this isn’t everyday driving we’re talking about here.
Having said that, we’re convinced that this particular Huracan doesn’t often drive up to the airstrip fearing its competitors. It’s got a VF800 Supercharger which ups the power and torque outputs to 816 PS and 827 Nm (610 lb-ft) but it’s also got a driver who could use a bit of advice on how and when to shift gears.
You’ll see what we mean as soon as you hear the V10 engine approach the rev limiter.
