After its official launch at the Geneva Motor Show, the Chiron has quickly made its way from lurking in the shadows to climbing the mountain in terms of what a modern-day supercar can do.
A mountain it did have to climb, indeed, as it should outdo not just the competition, but its record-setting predecessor, the Veyron.
Thus Bugatti engineers came up with no less than 1,500 HP and 1,600 Nm (1,180 lb-ft) of torque, good enough to get it from 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) in 2.5 seconds and on to a top speed of 420 km/h (260 mph).
We’ve seen what it looks like in various colors on the screen via Bugatti’s Configurator, but now a blue & black example, like the one that was displayed at the Show, has just been spotted on the streets of New York City.
As far as we can tell, the Chiron looks as planted and aggressive as it did the first time we saw it without any disguise. We’re not sure who’s behind the wheel of the car, but the story may just that it’s being delivered to Bugatti’s new dealer, Manhattan Motorcars, at 711 11th Ave. Corner and 51st St.
