Mercedes will expand the recently launched E-class family with new versions.
Introduced earlier this year, the executive saloon will gain two new different body styles and, from previous scoops, we already know that the Germans will roll out an estate, coupe, convertible, a long wheelbase version and even a Maybach E-Class.
While details on the latter on scarce, the LWB variant made another appearance in its homeland and, judging by its license plates, it’s the same prototype captured on video in a previous occasion.
Exterior design elements will be borrowed from its four-door sibling, while the folding soft-top of the open-top will make it look like a larger version of the new C-Class Cabrio. Power will come from an array of four- and six-cylinder engines, while a possible range-topper AMG version will adopt the 4.0-liter twin-turbo first seen on the AMG GT.
