Dana Mecum’s Spring Classic Auction is headlined this year by some of the most impressive and iconic muscle cars.
Scheduled for Indianapolis in May 17-21, this year’s event marks the 29th anniversary.
It’s the place to be whether you are either a fan or a determined classic car collector as the catalog is filled with some serious machinery.
The list includes a 1967 Shelby Cobra, a 1965 Shelby GT350 Fastback and two examples of the extremely rare 1970 Buick GS Stage 1 four-speed convertible.
Serial number CSX3295, the Shelby Cobra 427 comes from the Joe McMurrey collection. The car was subjected to a bare-metal restoration back in 2008, which confirmed that this is indeed a matching numbers original Cobra with 20,165 miles on the clock.
The auction will also feature the Jeffrey Cohen Collection which includes one-of-50 factory 1968 Ford Mustang Cobra Jet Lightweights and the Kirt Fryer 1971 Mustang Collection that comprises six 1971 performance Mustangs—two Boss 351s and four Cobra Jets.
