After the first grainy image of the 2018 Bentley Continental GT we showed you a couple of weeks ago, our spies caught them again, this time in Sweden.
This is the very same prototype, previously nabbed on a Dutch highway, probably undertaking its first winter test.
The much clearer images show us that the car is cleverly camouflaged with plastic extensions over the body to hide the new design. Overall though, the new Conti GT does look much sleeker that the current model, with inspiration clearly drawn from the EXP10 Speed Six concept.
Our spies also reported that they noticed a retractable roof spoiler on the tester
The new Bentley Continental GT is going to use the MSB platform which is also underpinning the next Porsche Panamera.
Range-topping models will continue the use of the 600+hp W12 engine while ‘regular’ models will stick with the twin-turbo 4.0 V8. The biggest powertrain change is going to be the addition of plug-in hybrid models in the range, using the same technology with Porsche’s upcoming models in a bid to offer low emissions and a more environmental-friendly character.
The new Bentley grand tourer coupe is expected to be revealed in late 2017.
