Rolls Royce’s new Black Badge editions are the bad boys of the Ghost sedan and Wraith coupe families bringing a sinister exterior look and surprisingly, an extra dollop of power into the mix.

Both models get a deep black exterior finish together with unique composite carbon fiber alloys featuring aluminum hubs, plus black detailing that includes a high-gloss Spirit of Ecstasy hood ornament.

For the Black Badge Edition’ interiors, the British company used aerospace-grade aluminum-threaded carbon-fiber composite trims, along with darker details, a new clock design, black ‘starlight’ headliner with more than a thousand fiber-optic nodes, and two-tone embroidered leather upholstery.

Rolls Royce engineers made some improvements to the Wraith and Ghost’s 6.6-liter twin-turbocharged V12 engines, with the former retaining the same output at 624hp (632PS) but gaining an additional 70Nm (52 lb-ft) of torque for a total of 870Nm (642 lb-ft), and the latter, a 40hp and 60Nm (44 lb-ft) bump in output.

A recalibrated air suspension setup, bigger front brakes and a faster eight-speed automatic transmission round out the performance upgrades for the two models that will make their first public out at the Geneva Motor Show on Tuesday.
