While the wraps are starting to come off the Estate variant of the new E-Class, the Coupe still refuses to reveal its final shape.
A new spy video shows yet another prototype out in the open, carrying the same boot cladding that could trick bystanders into believing they are looking at a…previous-gen BMW 6-Series Coupe.
Reports indicate that the Coupe will share the entire engine lineup with the saloon. This includes four-, six- and the twin-turbo 4.0-liter V8, in the AMG version, which will be adopted from its smaller sister, the C63 Coupe, and from the AMG GT.
The front end will mirror the new E-Class Sedan, while the rear should gain a different design. Inside, all comfort gadgets from the four-door will be adopted, along with the two large screens and premium materials, while the rear should have room for two.
Development of the Mercedes-Benz E-Class Coupe will be completed this year, but an official reveal date hasn’t been announced. Even so, the car should land on U.S. shores by next year.
