Paramount Pictures has announced that a spin-off Transformers film focusing solely on Bumblebee will hit theatres on June 8, 2018, meaning we’ll see yet another custom Camaro in the starring role.
The film has yet to receive a title but will drop a year after Transformers 5 debuts in mid-2017 and a year before the sixth installment is released in mid-2019.
For the previous four Transformers films to feature Bumblebee, each led to the creation of a custom Chevrolet Camaro with the fourth film actually including a classic example and an ultra-modern concept and we expect no different for the film dedicated to everyone’s favourite Autobot.
Interestingly, Bumblebee doesn’t speak in any of the Transformers films and only communications by broadcasting different radio stations so it’ll be intriguing to see how film producers deal with this hurdle.
While Mark Wahlberg has confirmed he will return for Transformers 5, no human cast has been announced for the Bumblebee spin-off.
