Following an online release in December, Nissan’s luxury brand launched nrw powerplants for its sports sedan at the 2016 Chicago Auto Show, .

The Q50’s three engines are offered in 2.0t, 3.0t and Red Sport 400 guise, all with forced induction to improve performance and ensure optimize fuel efficiency.

The entry-level 2.0-liter four-cylinder pumps out 208 hp and 258 lb-ft of torque and can be mated to either a rear-wheel or all-wheel drive system. It’ll be added to the Q50 range in the coming months with sales commencing in winter.

Moving up in the range is the twin-turbocharged 3.0-liter V6 propelling both the Q50 3.0t and Q50 Red Sport 400. It has 300 hp in the first and 400 hp second respectively, with sales of the later kicking off in early spring, followed closely by the 3.0t in late spring.

According to regional vice president of Infiniti North Tony Gardina, “We are completely transforming the Infiniti model lineup this year with all-new models like the QX30 and Q60 sports coupe, major makeovers such as the QX60 and cutting-edge powerplants like the Q50’s three all-new turbocharged engines. We can’t think of a better venue to showcase our full-scale product renaissance than the Chicago Auto Show, which attracts more than one million visitors annually.”

For eco-warriors, the range of the Q50 includes is a 3.5-liter V6 hybrid with 360 hp and 457 lb-ft.
