Along with the development of the GLC Coupe and facelifted CLA, Mercedes-Benz is also working on two additions to the new E-Class range, the Estate and Coupe models.
The latter was captured on video for the second time, as it took its camouflaged body out on the open road for some more testing. The prototype doesn’t reveal too much on its design yet, but it should get similar styling to the new C-Class Coupe and S-Class Coupe.
Inside, it will get a similar or even identical appearance for the dashboard as its four-door brother, including the twin-screen instrument cluster, but it will stay true to its segment and have a four-seat layout.
The upcoming Mercedes-Benz E-Class Coupe will also share powertrains with the already unveiled sedan and it will be eventually topped out by the range-toppers E63 and E63 S models, equipped with a 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8, expected to push out approximately 600hp.
The three-pointed star will reveal the new E-Class Coupe in early 2017, following the debut of the Estate, in mid-2016. Development of the new E-Class range will conclude with a convertible variant expected towards the end of 2017.
