Any way you slice it, the Vulcan is an outrageous piece of machinery.
Built by the British automaker’s finest craftsmen, it is Aston Martin’s answer to the track-only Ferrari FXX K and McLaren P1 GTR and will be limited to just 24 units worldwide.
As this clip shows, it’s assembled in an impeccably clean warehouse and, beyond being the fastest and most hardcore car the firm has ever produced, it is also one of its most extravagant.
Carfection (formerly known as XCAR) had the opportunity to get a first hand look at the Vulcan being built while also hearing its naturally-aspirated 7.0-liter V12 engine roaring to life. With over 800 hp on tap, the Vulcan’s engine is the most powerful naturally-aspirated unit used by a ‘production car’. As you’d expect, it also sounds insane even at low revs.
