Acura has announced the launch of their new marketing campaign, centered around ‘Precision Crafted Performance’ and breakout actor Michael B Jordan.

The so-called ‘Point of View’ brand campaign is set to debut during the NFL’s AFC Playoffs, where it will feature a 60-second spot highlighting Acura’s philosophy towards developing their models. So if you thought watching the Chiefs, Pats, Hawks, Panthers, Steelers, Broncos, Packers and Cardinals wasn’t exciting enough, wait until you watch this video.

It’s not the most spectacular ad in the world, but it’s very well written, very well edited and Michael B. Jordan’s voice really hits the spot as the narrator.

For those of you who don’t know him, Michael B. Jordan starred in some pretty amazing shows and a darn good movie. We are talking about The Wire and Friday Night Lights (both Binge-worthy) and his most recent role as the main character in the movie ‘Creed’.

As for the campaign, Jon Ikeda, Acura VP and GM, made it clear that his company is “committed to infusing this core Acura promise into every facet of our products and the customer experience, including our marketing voice. The new Acura NSX supercar, which anchors the launch of the campaign, is a pinnacle expression of our DNA and demonstrates how we will deliver on those core values.”

Leila Cesario, the brand’s manager of national advertising, added that “Michael B. Jordan is recognized for the passion he brings to his roles and we are thrilled to have him represent the Acura brand and give energy and voice to our focus on Precision Crafted Performance.”

The new brand campaign will run through multi-channel social and digital platforms, which will include placements on ESPN, Yahoo and Facebook. It will also extend into Super Bowl 50, where Acura will run an ad focused on the NSX and its North American heritage during the first quarter of the game.
