The BMW M2 Coupe is the new range-topping version of the 2-Series Coupe version and the successor of the 1M Coupe. It may very well be this generation’s E30 M3 too, though, that’s something we’ll have to wait and see.

Just like the original M3 car, the M2 Coupe is great to look at and promises to be delightful behind the wheel.

In terms of exterior design, it’s more aggressive than the previous top-of-the-line, the M235, while inside, the interior brings all the “goodies” you expect from a performance model.

A 3.0-liter M TwinPower Turbo six-cylinder engine with 370PS (365hp) and 465Nm (343lb-ft) of torque, paired to a standard a 6-speed manual, allows it to reach 100 km/h (62mph) from a standstill in just 4.5 seconds. There is also a 7-speed dual-clutch DCT, that lowers the sprint figure to 4.3 seconds, while top speed is limited, in both cases, to 250km/h (155mph) – though, tick the right boxes on the options list and you can increase it to 270km/h (168mph).

However, enough with the specs as there is a new video out. It comes from XCAR and it details the model and, towards the end, we also get to hear that M engine roar under its hood.
