It’s only been a couple of weeks since Lamborghini gave us the new Huracan LP 580-2, but it seems that the Italian automaker has another ace up its sleeve.
The supercar seen here partially under wraps could be the Huracan Superleggera and it was recently caught on camera somewhere in Italy. Finished in blue, the model seems to have a carbon fiber-made rear wing and widened wheel arches compared to the standard Huraca.
The fact that there are two guys covering it makes us believe that this could be something special that will come out in the near future, rather than a tuning job, but whether it is the anticipated Huracan Superleggera, remains to be seen.
However, if it’s the Superleggera edition, then it will come as a successor to the Lamborghini Gallardo Superleggera LP 570-4 , which was 70 kg (154 lbs) lighter and had 10 more horses under the hood than the regular model. The 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) acceleration was completed 0.3 seconds faster than in the LP 560-4, at 3.4sec, while top speed was identical at 325 km/h (202 mph).
