Following the teasers released last week, Kia pulled the wraps off the new generation of the Cadenza, known as the K7 in South Korea.

The full size sedan brings a new design, emphasized by the updated front fascia, which now wears Kia’s “tiger-nose” signature grille flanked by sharp wraparound LED headlights and muscular fenders, as the company describes them.

The sloping roofline was toned down compared to the teaser images and the rear end is where Kia added a chrome strip, surrounding the taillights and joining them together.

At the back, there is a “3.3” badge indicating that it will be powered by a 3.3-liter V6 engine,  without revealing if it’s the Hyunda-Kia Group’s new twin-turbo unit. Recent reports suggest that the car might also get a four-cylinder hybrid, but this hasn’t been confirmed so far.

The exterior design of the all-new Kia Cadenza is completed by the twin exhaust pipes with chrome surrounding and the multi-spoke alloy wheels. Although the automaker did not release any interior images, it did say that it will get higher-quality materials, a new premium design and more space than before.

The 2016 Kia Cadenza is expected to go on sale next year.
