Since when does a 640hp-strong sedan like the 2016 Cadillac CTS-V need more power? Well, if you have to ask, then you probably don’t have to read any further…
Hennessey Performance caters to the needs of those asking a different kind of question, one that inquires about how much more power can we drop under the hood of one of the fastest production sedans in the world.
When it comes to the 2016 Cadillac CTS-V, Hennessey’s answer comes in three parts or packages, if you prefer.
The first one, called HPE750, includes a pulley upgrade, a high-flow-air induction system, new catalytic converters and an upgraded ECU, among other parts to push output to 750hp at 6,300 rpm.
If you go for the HPE800, which, you guessed it, bumps power to 800hp at 6,500 rpm, the tuner adds a few more goodies such as high flow cylinder heads, intercooler heat exchanger upgrade and a custom camshaft.
If you really want to impress your supercar friends, then the HPE1000 package is for you; along with the aforementioned upgrades on the other two kits, it brings a 2.9-liter supercharger, ported cylinder heads, different fuel system, a more aggressive ECU tune and other improvements to hit the 1,000hp mark at 6,300 rpm.
A wide body kit and the H10 Monoblock wheels are offered as an option.
First announced in April, Hennessey’s 2016 CTS-V program is available for order.
