The newly launched BMW M2 promises to be a spectacular car, especially as its layout beckons to be modified.

Don’t get me wrong, the stock variant seems to be a perfectly-balanced, all-rounder, but the M2 is every tuner’s perfect catch, as it offers all the right ingredients at their disposal. Great looking, standard wide-body kit, aggressive stance, rear-wheel-drive and, most importantly, a twin-turbocharged in-line six, with tremendous tuning potential. In fact, a plethora of tuners are already clamoring for attention, while presenting photoshopped variants of their vision for the little M-branded Bimmer.

But Manhart got our attention with its poised and composed M2, which kind of looks like an angrier variant of a possible M-Performance enhanced model. Granted, the color scheme may not be for everyone, but the complementary black accents make the car look stellar.

The rims fit like a glove, while the subtle body-kit can easily pass unnoticed. Some will need a really big magnifying glass to observe that this car is more than a yellow paint job with blackened-out bits and pieces and a set of wheels.

To top it off, Manhart mentions that the real thing will be the successor of the MH2 400. Now, for those of you who don’t know what a MH2 400 is, we’ll try to explain very briefly. The MH2 400 is a monster. It’s a beefed-up, 430 PS M235i – that’s way more powerful than the stock M2 – which can be commissioned in a track-day variant.

So, judging by the future model’s “MH 450 moniker”, and Manhart’s willingness to say that it will come equipped with an ECE approved downpipe and exhaust system, we’re inclined to bet that it will boast a little over 450 PS – say 480, considering that the MH2 400 had an extra 30 PS over its name.
