With some car commercials ranging from obnoxious, to obvious and funny, KIA approached this particular one by using some creativity.
What we’re looking at is basically 5 very short commercials rolled into one. The reason why this shouldn’t bother anyone is because each of them is strong enough to stand on its own.
The first one tries to make a point about the Rio’s surprisingly spacious interior by shrinking a couple of people Ant-Man style – not the most creative thing in the world but it gets better.
The second time around it’s about on-board tech, mainly the “Back warning system”, where using a bunch of Vikings blowing their horns was a funny touch.
Moving on we have the glove box cooling feature, which really was shown off as creatively as possible (some might still find it silly though), followed by the trunk and the high strength steel body construction.
KIA’s marketing people probably had a lot of fun putting these clips together, and the Rio really is worthy of at least some attention from both US and European buyers looking for a fair, sub-compact city car.
