Jay Leno will be the host of a new CNBC show called… Jay Leno’s Garage. It premieres October 7, the first series will consist of eight hour-long episodes and according to the press blurb, it will center on “classic cars, super cars, restoration projects, road tests, investments and the inner workings of the car collectors’ market.”
However, while it’s called something static (a garage) it will actually feature Jay roaming the country “on the hunt for the car world’s most radical rides.”
Some celebrity appearances will include actors Laurence Fishburne, Tim Allen and Keanu Reeves, director Francis Ford Coppola, as well as Jeff Dunham the comedian / ventriloquist and six-time NASCAR Sprint Cup champion Jimmie Johnson among others.
In order to promote the show, Jay put on a fake disguise and acted as an Uber driver telling passengers about his new show, then revealing who he really is. The car he drives is a Mercedes S-Class because it’s an UberBlack, the most expensive executive-oriented luxury type of Uber that you can go for.
