Let’s face it, when you have villagers talking about your “legend”, it’s safe to say that you’re good enough to strike fear in the hearts of your rivals.

For the all-new Audi Q7, this works out just great, considering the fact that its rivals are a bunch of heavy hitters themselves, generally unafraid of any type of comparison. Consider the BMW X5, Mercedes-Benz GLE, Volvo XC90 or Porsche Cayenne – they’re all pretty good at what they do. Their advantages are well documented and it often becomes a matter of personal taste when trying to decide between either of them.

Audi had to follow up the original Q7 with a car able to carry on that legacy, something imposing, practical, comfortable and advanced from a technological perspective. The new Q7 seems to be all of those things, and so we’re left with just one choice when it comes to adding some “color commentary” to its commercials.

We should just sit back and enjoy Audi’s creativity, which is pretty easy to do over here, particularly with these spots called “The Legend” & “The Legend Continues”. Apparently, the Q7 is “strong like an avalanche” and “agile like a lynx”, helping it banish this beast that was terrorizing said villagers.

The idea behind the spot is pretty original, but we wouldn’t blame you for thinking that it’s silly and that it doesn’t really help the Q7 stand out in front of other beasts that also come with all-wheel drive and a premium badge.

The second video is even more creative (though not necessarily less silly), so I won’t spoil it for you. As for the third one, well, it has a more no-nonsense approach, which I bet nobody here minds.
